例子:clintmo_bhoptoon_Cordyline_00:36.rar, 真实时间: 00:37.3280
如果你录了一个真实时间00:36:xxxx,而游戏计时器也是00:36的话,恭喜你,这个wr合法
2.如果原wr的纪绿"秒数"跟真实时间一样,即使你录了一个真实时间比他快一秒的,也不算数
例子:kz_exodus_ez_BupTuk_0231, 真实时间:02:31:9995
如果你录了个真实时间02:30:xxxx 但游戏的计时器是02:31的话,那这个就不算数
所以你要录一个0230的游戏时间
3.比原来的demo快0.1秒的全不算数
*Neither zhady's or mgD's record time was shown in usual field in fps death or demolyser, so I had to manually check them. zhady beat mgD's old time by more than a minute, so there were no use to check it any further. Now mgD recorded a demo, and the time isn't showing ingame or in the field it's supposed to be shown in fps death or demolyser. So there are two ways to check it. The slowest and most inaccurate way is to use viewdemo, and paus the demo at the pressing of the startbutton, and then also by the pressing of the stopbutton, and then subtract the two times - which gave me the final results +- a few hundreds (for both mgD's and zhady's demo). Although I got zhadys time exactly correct, which I'm proud of.
See this picture: zhady vs mgd.
zhady: 05:18:27
mgD: 05:16:59 (+- some hundreds)
Second quick calculation from fps death. Mouseclick where the blue start line is, and mouse click where the blue stop line is. Then the time is shown in the top left view. Picture of time check in fps death. Fps death or demolyser uses the same time, the HL engine time, so; Yes - It's accurate, and now you all know where fps death and demolyser gets the 'record time' from, so it shouldn't be a problem to understand the stuff below.
Youtube, made by mgD:
mgD vs zhady on kz_kzfr_rabbithighway[+1337]
In the record list, there are MANY demos like the randomly selected examples below. The ingame kz timer doesn't show the record time (HL engine time) time since it's not as quick and accurate, and that's why some demos have these kinds of times:
clintmo_bhoptoon_Cordyline_00:36.rar, real time: 00:37.3280
dg_winterclimb_brian_00:58.rar, real time: 00:59.0250
kz_midnight_SuPa_01:06.rar, real time: 01:07.0442
cg_coldbhop_v2_bibo_00:56.rar, real time: 00:57.2734
cg_islands_soulftw_00:59.rar, real time: 01:00:2087
Now imagine that you made these times below - Where the ingame timer and the record time is showing the same time. With 'same time' i mean 'same second'.
clintmo_bhoptoon_thopa_0036.rar, real time: 00:36.3280
dg_winterclimb_thopa_0058.rar, real time: 00:58.0250
kz_midnight_thopa_0108.rar, real time: 01:08.1240
cg_coldbhop_v2_thopa_0056.rar, real time: 00:56.2734
cg_islands_thopa_0059.rar, real time: 00:59:2087
Earlier I wouldn't replace such demos, but due to mgD's demo on kz_kzfr_rabbithighway[+1337] I had to make this change,. This also opens up for people to beat demos like in the above example. At the moment XJ can't show the record time on the website (needs extensive re-coding), and alot of extra administrative work, so you must check the demos yourself if you want to beat a particular time, and see if the ingame and record time is not on the same seconds. Use demolyser of fps death. If fps death or demolyser isn't showing the time, you'd need to count it yourself, manually. But it's shown in atleast 95% of the demos.
This does not open up for beating any demo by 0.1 seconds. And you cannot beat a demo where the seconds on the ingame timer is the same as the seconds on the record time.
If you take kz_exodus_ez_BupTuk_0231.dem as an example:
0231 ingame time, 151.9995 (02:31:9995) record time. If you record the same map, and get 0231 ingame, and record time 151.8xxxx I will not replace BupTuk's demo. You must get 0230 to beat it. This way we use both kreedz kz timer as supposed, but also eDarks record time, so the demo time will show the same seconds ingame, as "irl".
I hope you all understand, and accept this. I can't see another way to handle these kind of demos |
