出生亞買加原名Moses Davis的Beenie Man，

從小立志當名優秀DJ，以8歲幼齡，

就獲得幼年組才藝表演冠軍，因此擄獲知名製作人Junjo Lawes提攜，

拜師學習DJ技巧，就連弟弟Little Kirk也跟隨其腳步有模有樣玩起DJ。

5年後，兩兄弟吸引雷鬼樂界知名製作人Patrick Roberts目光，帶領他們認真錄起自己創作的作品。

90年中期，Beenie Man將祖國動盪不安局勢及暴力犯罪升高等亂象，和藥物過量與自殺成為美國藝人死亡主因，等等議題帶入音樂中，開始受到流行樂壇注意。

1998年入籍EMI音樂集團便隨即發光發熱，2000年所推出的專輯『Art And Life』，入選Uncut雜誌史上五十大雷鬼樂專輯，

並奪下43屆葛萊美『最佳雷鬼專輯』，2002年的『Tropical Storm』，

在公司高層全力栽培下，網羅樂界一甘高手助陣，為其創下事業另一高峰。

个人小评：
随着Assia一声高亮的哼鸣，Beenie Man的第一句开场词出现
华丽的吉他和厚重的鼓点 夹杂着细微的电子混响效果  
Assia的阿尔及利亚部分 男声在次声道做辅助，   
她的声音很动感 让人听着想跳舞
男声的音色和这鼓点很搭调 一样的有厚重感
同样在男声部分女声在和声哼鸣做铺垫
assia在2000年才出她的首张个人专辑  
她的音色很有张力 哼唱温柔唱词硬派
男女声线的穿插让整首歌饱满起来
2分钟多的时候 唱词将尾词着重加强音   
一句话突然在韵脚停顿 然后突出音节
这首歌合音效果很丰富，听起来层次分明，错落有致  
节奏比较有力量，带着悠然的哼唱背景音，刚柔兼并 
assia中间有个小小的高音 小惊艳了一下 ,  
做帖的时候反复循环，发现这雷鬼风格的曲越听越耐听的说
这样的节奏确实适合用舞蹈宣泄情绪
