Hello XJ!
As you might have noticed from the title of this newspost itself, your one of the most beloved features of XJ, the ”Weekly Section” is back again. We were being privileged to re-incarnate the XJ-Weekly from it's year- long hibernation. We tried our level best to present it to you in the same flavor, that is big enough to cover all the recent hot topics, and small enough that you guys don't sleep over while going through this.
A special vote of thanks goes to  faker,  ndR and  koukouz for making this happen. If it had not for them, revival of this weekly would have still been a myth. It’s because of their constant motivation, encouragement and help, that we are finally able to publish a weekly again.
DEMO REVIEWS
The past weekend has been a rollercoaster ride for the whole XJ both for the admins as well as for the KZ enthusiasts. Despite the infamous and controversial demo release, the World Records that have been brought to the forefront, remains an eye-candy to each and every viewer. A total of 44 new World Records have been made by prominent kreedzers (in order of release in the newspost) namely  Memories,  Skizo_,  pizza^,  26,  Micron,  7D, koukouz, Huevo, Chasquido,  Hitlooser, SilverNinja,  VNS and kayne.
Some of the World Records were pretty much expected like kkz_texture and some on the other hand were pretty much surprising in the kz world like the prochallenge_speed, prochallenge_longjump, kz_cxg_sequoia[+goldmine]. Some of the demos were real lucky, owing to the fact that they have been improved by only by a few milliseconds like kz_costco [0.03 seconds] whereas some of them were beaten by a huge margin like kz_cxg_sequoia[+goldmine] [35.46 seconds]. The XJ weekly team has chosen the 4 most spectacular demos of the week according to the different genres of kreedzing :
1. prochallenge_longjump in 1:41.94 by Memories : This demo was certainly the most spectacular long-jump based demo amongst all the demos released. The earlier record by mjuuh was never even challenged since the record was made in the particular map for the first time in the prochallenge series. To beat such a classic long-jump demo and that too by a margin of over 3 seconds certainly makes it a must watch.
2. kz_cxg_sequoia[+goldmine] in 10:22.64 by koukouz : After maps like kz_dimblock, kz_kzsca_mineblock, kz_kzlt_dementia[+tranquility], etc it was never expected that another hard/extreme demo could be beaten by such a huge margin. To beat a lengthy demo of puppetz who is known for his unique, awesome style is an achievement in itself, thereby making it a deserving demo to watch in the climb section.
3. bkz_junglebhop in 1:41.89 by 26 : After ruling cosy-climbing with his superb bhop skills, 26 is slowly but steadily climbing up the ladder in the Record Demo Rankings with some of his unbelievable bhop demos. First bkz_goldbhop and now bkz_junglebhop. A near perfect demo of MepH being beaten is certainly worth-watching.
4. cg_industry in 00:36.03 by Hitlooser : This is no doubt the most awesome demo out of all the recent demos released. Improved the earlier World Records of Kelta by almost 14 seconds with a spectacular shortcut in the middle and a perfect weird-jump after the cj shortcut. Definitely going to be one of the serious choice of the Run Of The Week movie next week.
However, amongst all the recent demo releases and the commotion going on in XJ, the XJ Weekly Team would like to put forward a couple of interesting observations :
1. 4 more World Records by 7D and 1 by Kelta would have made an interesting pattern in the XJ top 5 with all World Record numbers ending in 7
2. Most of the recent demos of 26 have a constant 100 FPS (Fishy Personal System  )
3. Hatari seems to be deeply in love with 26’s WRs as is evident from his movie-making work. The last two of the Run Of The Week movies Hatari made, featured 26 on his WR runs on kzsca_brickvalley and kz_kzarg_catacombsbhop. Fingers crossed for their alleged affair to make it to the 3-in-a-row mark.
MOVIE REVIEWS & PROJECTS
The past week was primarily marked by one noticeable movie release which made it to the front page, AESTHETIC by ndR` with an unusual and offbeat theme. A comparatively newcomer in the field of movie-making, ndR has already made his mark with 3 consecutive movies making it to the front page. A detailed review of the movie can be seen in -link-
Among the upcoming project info released officially last week,  Icevip’s movie featuring the Long-jump World Record holder FreestyleR is on its way. The movie has been titled Pushing The Limits. The detailed project info and the trailer can be seen in -link- and -link- respectively.
The Run Of The Week movie was structured on the sick run of 26 on kz_kzarg_catacombsbhop by Hatari. Although in general perception of most of the members and also the XJ Weekly team, there were better deserving World Records. A superb edit with chilling background score is what sets the mood for the movie.
However, a special mention of the most entertaining movie of the week. A movie named The Last Day of my Mouse’s Life by  Ggs` features one of the most important equipments of kreedzing being paid its last homage. Although it sounds like a serious movie made in a melancholic mood, be prepared to roll on the floor laughing at this hilarious movie. -link-
MAP OF THE WEEK
Time to announce the best map release; and the award for the best map of the week goes to:
kzro_dahnajourney made by  sn00p
Without much addo, we were very glad to see, play and check this map on our LAN server. A very unique hard extreme map, which gives a feel of a cool ambient atmosphere, and a natural surrounding. So what are the main salient features that really set this map apart from the other contemporary hard extreme maps released. Let us have a look.
Well, what do you get when you mentally try to mix-n-match the features of a simple and the alluring looking map, with intriguing features, comprising that old-school theme and that sends a chill down your spine when you try to no-check it? You get kzro_dahnajourney. A finely crafted piece of art in every department, this map is like one of those creations which has got all the credentials to get you back in the "kreedzing business", and you deliberately try to figure out how to manage those difficult jumps at the first go in your not-so-perfect-runs.
sn00p - good work, only it is wished you had made that last count-jump a little bit easier.
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - IS XJ READY FOR A PARADIGM SHIFT?
Enough been told, enough been seen, enough been achieved - It's time to move forward. Perplexed, yet??
Ok, let us talk simple. What do you love the most in our lovely community? Demo release days, right ?? Well, it is indeed the first guess. Look at them closely for say about for the last 2/3 months. Apart from the "traditional" recorders already existing in the hall of fame, do you see anything new?
Let's get a bit more lucid with the talking. Take a moment off now, think about the future. Significantly saying, not only by demo ranking, but by popularity and activity we could land on these conclusions that the following time zones over xj could be characterized:
2008-09 had been the era of brian, chrizZo and StormZz, 2009-10 had been the era of shNz, mgD, kunqui and heL^_x, 2009-1x had been the era of sKiCg, Koukouz and KeltA, and also in the meantime we had seen the dazzling brilliance of upcoming stars like Memories, pizza^ and 26, whereas some evergreen stars like zhady never ceases to amaze us with his amazing talent caliber. What comes next? The jumpers set the trend of the a particular era of XJ, and it's high time we all of us should do some alternative stuff here at XJ, rather than just sit back, relax and wait for the next demo release. According to me, it’s time to identify the newer and the upcoming talents here at XJ, because we believe, there are very skilled players out there who are just too lazy or dont have the patience to do the recordings for the community. Our job should be to identify those new faces and give them a real big chance to do something real noticeable for the community. Why not start an amateur league at XJ here, that could be just perfect to identify these uncut diamonds, and who knows, maybe some retired greats would be real motivated to record again for the community. In carrying out such a league, there would be no disadvantages.. On the contrary, it could pave the path for the upcoming talents show their prowess, and rub their shoulders in accordance with the current existing greats!
Think about it, and feel free to let us know about your honest opinions - 'cause as long as you are thinking innovative, you are alive. Once when you stop thinking, you are as good as dead.
RUMOR TIT-BITS
XJ, with over 57,000 members, is always full of activity. And it’s virtually impossible to for each and every member to know what sort of activity is going on other than in his field of interest. Even for the most active members, it is difficult to know about some of the “insider” news. So, here we are with some scraps of interesting information from the community :
1. As we know, our very beloved movie-maker boom.dll refrained from active movie-making scene for quite a while. But rumor has it that he is currently working on a movie featuring two trick-jumpers. However the names of the trick-jumpers and the release date has not yet been disclosed.
2. One of the most popular newcomer in the movie-making scene, Icevip is said to have succeeded in making a 272 units double count-jump. But as it was made using un-official plugins, it has not been submitted to XJ. Looks like apart from movie-making, he is also trying to mark his territory in the field of Double Count-jumps as well.
3. The lengthiest map in the map-pack of XJ, kz_world has been conquered. It has been a pretty long time since the last World record was made on this map by sKiCg and has been un-beaten since then. However, the name of the player is classified.

mjuuh.他的demo一出,我们就认为这J8图不可能再刷了.但是Memories告诉我们错了.干掉一张如此经典的LJ图而且在mjuuh的基础上提高了3秒.这的确是一个必看demo
