Hey there,
old story that happens to repeat itself on and on. You know the thrill already... Some people made an egoistical attempt to get their name on the record list (and some fame?) even though they don't deserve it (because obviously they are missing the skills to get it in a legit way), by submitting cheated demos again. Come on guys, how can you be proud of it at all, if you know that the "record" was made with unfair methods?
Two cheated demos were submitted for the recent release, one was held back for further checks and another one was released accidently. Sorry for our mistake, it should'nt have be released at all, since it's pretty obvious what's going on - even without doing an advanced analysis. However, eDark did confirm that a slowmotion hack was used in both demos. And yes RQ, we can detect it, even if you use it for some of the jumps only.
Here are the lucky "winner"s:
Cheatdemos:
kz_fairy_island[+secret]_taff_0010 submitted by taff
kz_man_neighbourhood_RQ_0215 submitted by RQ
Furthermore there was another demo submitted, sn_beachcliff_bisqo_0506, which had invalid settings on it: It had fps_max on "100" but vysnc enabled - and a windows refresh rate of 85hz, causing the same effect as if fps_max "85" was being used. Since we don't know if this was a misunderstanding, or an attempt to cheat, this won't be punished. Nevertheless the demo had to be rejected and the rules might have to be adjusted regarding that point |
